Taste of Burgundy

Guided tour of Beaune, medieval city: Discover the rich history of the Wine Capital of Burgundy, by following your guide inside its medieval ramparts. During the visit you will discover the Hospices Civils de Beaune. From culture to viticulture, the visit ends with a tasting.

Guided tour of the Mustard factory Fallot production site. Thanks to a revolutionary staging and the use of very sophisticated visual, sound and sensory means, you will discover all the stages of the transformation of the mustard seed: from the storage silo to the packaging of the final product.

Lunch at the restaurant 

In the afternoon: At the house of a “thousand truffles and mushrooms”, the owner invites you into the world of truffles and makes you discover a rare and fine delicacy: the Burgundy truffle. Go for a walk on the truffle field to see them working with their dogs, taste the many truffle products they work with local artisans, listen to their stories and anecdotes about their profession as cavers, let yourself be tempted by their recipes and their good food.

Dinner and accommodation.

Rendez-vous in Nuit St Georges to visit the Cassissium, the world of Cassis. An exhibition will reveal its history, its culture and its multiple applications: crème de Cassis of course, but also other gastronomic products, medicines made from leaves or, more surprisingly, the great perfumes made with blackcurrant buds. Next to the Cassissium, you will discover the production site of the crème de cassis, then the visit will end with a tasting.

Guided tour of Dijon, from the Palace of the Dukes and States of Burgundy to the Parliament district, passing through that of Notre Dame, and the medieval streets... You will appreciate the richness and elegance of its mansions, witnesses of the diversity of the city's heritage.

Guided tour in the heart of the vineyard: Pommard and its exceptional wines, Volnay, then Meursault stop for a visit of a cellar then tasting of wines.

Guided tour of the Château du Clos de Vougeot located in the heart of the Grands Crus road, the cradle of wine growing in Burgundy, the Château was built in the 12th century by the monks of the Cîteaux Abbey and became the stronghold of wine growing in Burgundy.

Route towards Sancerre in the morning.

Along the way: Stop for a visit and free lunch on Vézelay. High place of Christianity at the gates of the Avallonnais, Vézelay is also a charming perched village. The climb to the basilica is an almost initiatory experience. Spiritual, literary, or poetic, here breathes the spirit of Romanesque art... Continuation in the direction of Sancerre.

Route towards the South of Burgundy: guided tour of the Abbey and medieval town of Cluny. Then, the Haras national de Cluny opens its doors to you to discover this place and its residents. Visiting the site is a unique opportunity to discover the world of horses and a heritage dating from the beginning of the 19th century.

Departure towards Beaujolais, Beaujolais Wine Route then guided tour in the heart of the Château de Montmelas: visit of the large winery (built in the 19th century) and an explanation of the profession of winegrower. Road to Lyon.
