Why do people nickname this hill ‘the working hill’? Who were the ‘Canuts’? 

Your tour guide will embark you on an e-bike trip: panoramic viewing points, painted walls, traboules and other surprises. A delicious food tasting will punctuate the visit.

Market Table Cooking Class in the heart of Lyon

Visit Lyon's largest outdoor market with over 100 vendors and producers offering their wares, and fill the basket with fresh local produce. Make a stop at Lucy's favorite boulangerie and fromagerie where we will put together a plateau de fromage. Return to the Kitchen to cook a classic French market based meal from the best of the season's offerings. Your chef spends some time to work through several recipes to give you some ideas and inspiration for your own French cooking at home. The recipes are set according to what is currently in season and what is available at the market. Count on the full morning of instructive visits and cooking class well into late afternoon for this class!

Discover Lyon and its history, buildings and architecture as you are carried along the Saône river for 1 hour. Take a moment to make yourself at home in a city whose heritage has been classified by UNESCO but also boasts resolutely modern architecture!

This morning, you will drive to the Beaujolais region at the North of Lyon. 

Guided visit of the Golden Stones of Beaujolais 

Explore southern Beaujolais and appreciate the diversity of this area. Often compared to Tuscany, this hilly region dotted with hilltop villages built in golden stone offers a gentle pace of life. Among the hills and valleys, magnificent villages in golden stone reveal their warm colours and beautiful light. Visit Oingt, a 12th century village listed as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Here, along its narrow streets, you will discover the authentic charms of its medieval monuments.

Picnic Lunch in the Beaujolais vineyards: Enjoy a picnic hamper of local products (terrine, saucisson, cheese, fruit, bread), with drinks (wines, fruit juice, and water). A bucolic and authentic experience guaranteed! 

Sunset vintage wine tour in Volkswagen 1964 campervan

Explore the Haut-Beaujolais vineyard and Juliénas, Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent vintage wines in a converted VW 1964 campervan. Your winegrower Thierry will show you how he works the vine and how the plants are grown according to reasonable and organic farming practices. You'll then be able to taste the estate's wines out in the vineyard, served with cured meats and cheeses.

This morning, you will drive to the Burgundy Region and reach the charming village of Beaune.

City of Art and History, capital of Burgundy wines, the city of Beaune has an exceptional heritage. Surrounded by old ramparts, it is considered as the centre of the Burgundy wine trade. The old town is home to remarkable monuments and reveals to the eye of the walkers beautiful Renaissance hotels, beautiful half-timbered houses and charming interior courtyards.

The Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune, with its sumptuous roof of glazed tiles, is now emblematic of the region and is renowned throughout the world for its traditional and prestigious charity wine sale which takes place on the third Sunday of November.  

Lunch: an exclusive "all-truffle" experience at the Maison aux Milles Truffes. Surprise from the chef for dessert!
